We have an original owner trailer with factory wiring. We took the battery out last fall, and now we are having one of those senior moments where we are doubting ourselves. The trailer has a yellow wire with a fuse inline, and a white wire. Which do you think is positive and which is negative/ground? We think the yellow must be positive, since it has the fuse in it. We are putting the battery back in tonight, and it just sparked at us.

which is the positive wire?
The yellow hooks to a black wire?
This is the label the newer Scamps have

Typically in the trailer industry the white is the negative/ground. and the fused is the positive. Not an uncommon thing to get a small spark when reconnecting a battery after being disconnected. Things like the remote control roof top fan, the battery charger and most anything else that is active even when not operating will use a bit of electricity at start up even the carbon monoxide and gas gas monitor. this can give the expected spark. and need for ventilation and caution at the battery box.
2019 Scamp 13 standard
We've got a 2001. The yellow with the fuse is positive. The white is negative.
Thank you everyone for this thread. Swapped out the battery on out 2017 13, and completely blanked when I got back with the new battery.
