Hi, I recently acquired a 1987 19' Scamp. I've never owned an RV before so I will have many questions for my fellow Scamp owners as I go through the process of trying to rebuild this old wreck. My first question concerns the entrance door. The bottom of the door is floppy and won't seal to the threshold. In fact, there's about a three inch gap between the doorframe and the door when it is closed. Does anyone have a fix for this? I have no idea what caused this problem.

Floppy door on a 1987 19'
The causes of this can be many. This old Scamp could have had a leak in the door and the wooden core rotted out and the curvature changed, or the hinges are out of alignment. Try to search this forum and the other (fiberglassrv.com). I have seen pictures and descriptions of repairs of the Scamp doors.

Your explanation makes sense. I hadn't realized there was a wooden core. I'll check it out today.
Thank you
