New Scamp 13 Side Windows Leak

Hello,

We have a new Scamp 13 (delivered in December 2018).  The rear side windows have the center louvres.  Both windows collect water in the section toward the front of the trailer.  The drain/weep holes are clear, and the center and rear window segments don't accumulate any water.  The caulking around the edge of the windows looks good.  It's not obvious how water is coming in or how it ends up in the "track".  My questions:  where might it be coming from, and how do I figure it out?

The right rear window:

Right rear window, bottom left:

Right rear window, bottom right (with paper towel absorbing water):

The left rear window is the same, except the water is on the left side (also away from the rear of the camper).

The top of the left window seemed a likely culprit:

But that wouldn't explain how water is getting into the right window because it looks 'clean':

I look forward to everyone's insight!

Warranty Claim

That should be a warranty claim and repair. I don't think I'd want to attempt any self-repair on that until I had to and wasn't under warranty any longer.

Fair point but, unless

Fair point but, unless Eveland makes house calls, we'd have to drive it to Backus from the San Francisco Bay Area.  Perhaps we'll contact them anyway to see what can be done.

Thanks, Greg!

Warranty

Any word back from Scamp? I'm curious to know how Scamp handles warranty issues/claims since I will not be able to drive 24 hours from my place to Backus for warranty issues.

Warranty

Unless they've changed, my understanding is SCAMP Trailers pays the cost to have the repair done at a local RV Center, so you won't be having to drive back to MN. You will have to call them though to get the claim started.

These are herr windows the same i had on my 16 foot airstream ,it also had water accumulate in the window track ,make sure the tracks are clean on inside also , if the trailer is not level the water cant drain properly . If the tracks drains are clear and trailer is level then its a warrantee claim.

hope it all works out !

Thanks!  All is clean.  I

Thanks!  All is clean.  I leveled the trailer itself, then I made sure the windows are level.  Am pursuing the warranty.

Is the trailer significantly tilted to the front? Un-level?  Also Our Motorhome had Herr windows of the sliding type and rain would get in from the track because there were small wasps that built a nest about two inches in from the drains and the water could not get to the out side to drain. It took years to figure it out and only whe I pulled the rubber strips out to replace a cracked window did it become clear.

Thank you.  The trailer is

Thank you.  The trailer is actually slightly tilted to the back, because I made sure the windows are level.  We'll see what Eveland's says about the warranty.
