I've checked the parts for sale section and windows seem to be hard to find. Previous owner removed window for a.c. and I just want to go back to a window.

Need a window for a 1981scamp
I'm having the same issue with my 1982 Scamp. I called scamp and they said with a photo of the open window space, so a photo of the empty hole once the AC is removed, they can tell you if you can fit a factory window or they can have a plexiglass one made if you can't. We are still working on getting our AC unit off since the previous owner put it on there pretty tightly.

Ebay is a good source for windows - I got some newer ones for my 83 scamp. If the size is roughly the same as the existing hole you can patch in or cut away the fiberglass as needed. There are fixed options and ones that open for nearly any size needed :)
Hehr makes the windows for Scamp and I'm assuming they still make the current ones.

I'd give them a call and tell them the background and give them the measurements. They probably have a modern window that can be ordered. It may require a slight enlargement of the opening to properly seat, but that is easy enough to accomplish. Probably would want to match and replace on both sides.
