My water system is not working properly. I am seeking a diagram of the fresh water piping to understand it much better. Thanks.

piping diagram of water system in 13' Scamp w/o shwr/toilet
Need a bit more information.
I have a very basic system with just the fresh water tank under the curb side dinette bench. The water line runs from there along the floor at the base of the wall underneath the rear window, then into the street side dinette bench, and then into the sink cabinet and up to the sink. In mine, the water is pumped with the hand pump at the sink. The city water just comes into the trailer under the sink, and directly to the city water faucet. The drain from the sink goes directly out the side of the trailer, under the sink. VERY simple.
If you have a water heater and 12 volt water pump, it would be slightly more complex, so someone else will need to chime in for you.
Thank you, LyleB. Yes my water system is a bit more complex, as it also includes a hot water heater/tank and an electric pump, It appears to me thaf the hot water heater can be valved off from receiving water, but when in a functioning mode the discharge goes to the hot water faucet at the sink. Water can enter the system from do-it-yourself fill port on the curb side into the fresh water tank or from the city water port near the sink. However, it is not clear to me where the city water is entering the system.
Let me call R=curb side, L=sink side, W=water. The city W enters at L, goes into a T, whereby it goes to the sink and over to R, and is attached to what I believe is the the outlet of the pump. What I believe to be the inlet line to the pump appears to behind the fresh water tank (I need to get an extendable small mirror to check this out), So when the fresh water tank is being used, the pump provides the circulation. When city W is in use, its entry pressure provides circulation.
There is a tank for used W that takes the discharge from the sink.,

Lyle B: I said above that it is not clear to me where the city W enters the system. I believe that at the T the line to the sink serves that function, and when using the fresh water tank the pump discharge goes into that T and thus to the sink. When city water is connected, the leg of the line to the pump is filled with stagnant water. Dave

From the Scamp owners manual.
I have an electric pump. There is a strong vibration when used to deliver potable water from the potable water tank to the sink. Any suggestions?

They do not run smooth, Can you ask some one at a campground to run theirs so that you can compare? There may be nothing wrong. It is a common sound in most crowded campgrounds.
I've always put in new pumps in my Scamps and put a rubber pad underneath them before remounting them so it has a good vibration damping base. They do run quieter if you do that step. Also, one of the best mods you can do for the onboard water system is the addition of an Accumulator tank. This will totally smooth out the water operation when on pump. The pump silencing kit is a good add at the same time you do the accumulator tank.

Thank you, Greg. I appreciate the knowledgeable recommendations. When you put in new pumps were they Shurflo or other? Also, the Shurflo data for my pump says I do not need an accumulator tank (but I will install one regardless). The pimp installation in my Scamp uses flexible plastic for the inlet tubing but hard plastic for the outlet tubing, whereas ShurFlo recommends the more flexible hi-pres outlet tubing also be used for the first 30" or so. That would clearly help. The pump has not been used a great deal ... do you recommend it is still wise to replace it? My regards, Dave

I’ve always used the shurflo, but there are several comparable mfgrs. Accumulator tank is never really necessary, but once you add one in you’ll probably always add one on future trailers.
Looks like you have a 2011 so unless it just seems at the end, I’d keep the pump. I’ve had 20+ years on pumps, but they can go early too.
