I’m curious to know other’s experience with backing their trailer into a site with manual transmission. I’ve been driving a stick shift all my life and I’m reasonably proficient at backing up the Scamp - although my experience is with a fifth wheel automatic and horse trailer (very different), but I think that all things considered I’m not bad at backing a trailer or a manual transmission … my problem is that in reverse I’m riding the heck out of the clutch. If I have to back it uphill I can smell the clutch burning.
Is there some kind of secret that I don’t know to avoid this or am I stuck with burning clutch, thoughts?
