Seattle Area Scamp Owners with 13' or 16'?

Hello everyone,
I've been a long time Scamp admirer and am considering finally putting down a deposit on a 13'. I was wondering if anyone in the Seattle area would be comfortable with letting me and my partner come check out your rig. I am only 5'6 and I have been in them before and know that size isn't a problem. But I do want to make sure my partner who is 6'2 and by no measure small would actually fit comfortably inside it and be able to imagine sharing the space with our two medium sized dogs. I've been reading the forums with many responses both for or against a Scamp for someone that size and was hoping we could actually get inside one and see for ourselves. We would of course be mindful of all COVID protocols.

Thank you in advance!

sadly i live in cleveland.

sadly i live in cleveland.  but i am 6'2" and 250 pounds, my wife is 5'7".  We have 2 kids as well (they sleep in the bunks).  I fit fine standing up inside without having to crouch.  in the center is the best (because it's curved so that's the highest).  I have an older model one, i believe the newer ones are wider but we both fit (snugly) on the bed.  if you also have 2 dogs i would recommend the 16 footer.  that's what i have.  the bed we have is the less than Full sized original bed.  the new ones have the option for the bigger bed (if given the choice i would choose this).

hope that helps a little.

We have a 16' on order and

We have a 16' on order and plan to use it with our two toddlers and two lazy inactive dogs (one of which is large).  Would love to hear how it's going for you with two kids.  Any advice?  My wife and I have watched a ton of youtube videos about Scamps but not a whole lot of content with families of four.

the kids love it, we used to

the kids love it, we used to have a pop-up so they shared a bed which caused issues some times.  now with the bunks they each have their own personal space which is so great for them.  they really love it.  we are mostly outside campers so we are only really in the Scamp to sleep, nap, or wait out the rain.  I even cook outside (too cramped if we're all in there) on a portable propane stove i setup on a small folding table.

PRO TIP - For the top bunk build a bunk bar out of plastic PVC pipe so your kid won't fall out.  Look up the guidlines on a guard rail, i believe 6" max top of rail to top of mattress so they can't get their head stuck in there.  Using the bunk rods that are vertical i put pipe going up from both of those, then got elbows and connected them.  I painted the PVC as well (not necessary).  It helps keep the kid from rolling out, and it acts as a sort of hand hold to climb up there too for them.
