Greetings,
I just wanted to share a little story so we currently own 2 Scamps a fairly new 13'er and a 2006 16'er. We have decided to sell the smaller one and so the 16 footer that we have named Sydney had a funny smell when we went to look at it last week and again when we picked it up we figured it just needed cleaning. So we cleaned and cleaned and cleaned, new cushion covers ordered, threw away the curtains, sprayed the foam cushions with peppermint and put them in the sun-smell is mostly gone form the cushions but not the camper, it smells like a combination of moth balls and air freshener a nasty smell to be sure. Long story short after cleaning the carpet twice with only short term results we pulled the carpet out and scraped up all the foam backing and now the smell is gone yeah!!!! so now the plan is to paint the floor with Kills then put down new carpet. Dont give up friends we are looking forward to setting up our new to us 16' Scamp.
Being predominantly in the carpet/upholstery it sounds like pet/pet urine that maybe was masked with the other odors you're describing. You might want to treat the flooring with a chlorox wipe down before sealing it and you'll never have anything again. I use about 1-2 cups chlorox in a gallon to gallon and half of water. Mop on and let it sit overnight. After drying seal with Zinsser or Kills.
