Here's a dumb question. We're buying this 2017 16' with bathroom, water heater, etc. The current owners never filled the tanks, never used the plumbing. When I asked about winterizing, they said they stored it in their barn as is, no antifreeze since there was nothing in the system to freeze. I'm okay with that, it's a pain to clear out the pink RV antifreeze. Is that what Scamp does with their inventory in the winter, just leave it dry sitting out in the parking lot?
We will be storing it in an unheated barn for the winter. I'll remove the battery and put it on a trickle charger but other than that, is there anything else I need to do? We're moving up from a teardrop camper so we've done minimal winterizing in past years.
The factory RVs are all on the lot dry. If your sure it is dry you should be OK, (if you're sure). It sounds as if it has been in the cold other years and if there was going to be damage it has already happened.
Most owners get some of the weight off the axle to extend the life of the axle when in storage.Generaly with jack stands under the frame just behind the axle.
I would still remove and replace the WH drain plug to check to make sure.it is dry. A no cost quick check. I would have thought a water leak check my have been done at the factory on the trailer. Pressurizing and purging the water lines with air is also cheap insurance. You should learn to do that anyway.

I purge with compressed air first and then flush with pink water. I take no chances. Don't forget to put pink water in the shower and sink drains.
