What kind of camp chairs do you have?

Hi all, my first post as we just purchased our Scamp about a month ago.  Preparing for our first trip with her the day after Christmas.  In the meantime, we are in the market for new, more comfortable chairs for our campsite.  We currently have the basic ones that are fabric and fold up to be put in the cloth shoulder strap bag, but they are very uncomfortable.  Looking for something compact for storing, yet comfortable to kick back and relax in.  I'd prefer something that I can put my feet up with, but hubby could care less about that.  Thanks in advance for the suggestions!

Chairs

These camp director type with the side table seem very popular out and about. Coleman Portable Deck Chair with Side Table We don't have these yet, but there are several vendors that sell them at the flea markets at Quartzsite and plan to get a couple this year.

We have exactly the kind you

We have exactly the kind you describe. I do not find them too uncomfortable, and the armrest has a pocket for a glass/bottle of an adult beverage. They travel on the floor of our Scamp, in their bags. At the campsites we eat at the picnic tables and for those I have a couple of closed cell cushions, about 20x20 in. 1 inch or so thick, saved from some shipping packages.

Camp Chairs

We bought a pair of rockers from Gander Mountain (half-price at the time) that are VERY comfortable.

We got a pair of those zero

We got a pair of those zero gravity recliners, I think that is what they are called. They are comfy, but take up to much room in trailer, or our small suv. When we stop at a rest stop and want to use the scamp we have to move every thing around. We then got the small shoulder carry camp chairs and they are light and they can be stuffed anywhere.  If we get a pickup we would carry them then.  Carl

Timber Ridge comfort chair

I saw this chair at a BJ's Whse. yesterday and started to buy this chair. It was a bag chair but it is very sturdy and provided good support. Not the type with the sagging bottom that causes back pain. They come in black and blue but they only had blue except for the display chair. As soon as they get the black chairs back in stock I plan to buy two of them. They were $39.95 ea.

This Coleman chair seems to be the same chair. Cabelas also sells a version but more expensive.

Camp Chairs

Avoid those bag chairs! They have plastic collars all over them, and significantly under the seat corners. They break and the chair is then useless! Get all metal chairs and enjoy a long life with them.
