Hello,
I was looking to get something like this (https://www.scamptrailers.com/parts-store-cat-view/appliances/maxx-air-original-detail.html) MaxxAir, so that we can keep some air moving on rainy days.
The problem is that it is for a 14x14 vent and mine is around 15x22. I believe it to be this one https://www.scamptrailers.com/parts-store-cat-view/appliances/15-x22-vent-measurement-roof-vent-lid-only-detail.html.
I googled some and saw that they have a MaxxAir II but it isnt big enough. I need 22 inches of width and it looks like this only does ~20 inches. (http://www.maxxair.com/images/products/maxxair2/1_vent_footprint_maxx2.jpg)
I was just wondering if anyone knew of one that works. I don't care about the brand, was just using MaxxAir to start with since the scamp website had one.
thanks
clark
Hi Clark,
The older Scamps have the large Escape hatch vent in the roof.
To add a Fan you can cut a new 14x14 hole forward to put the new MaxxFan, Scamp actually added them as an option this way for awhile so you end up with the Escape hatch and MaxxFan on the roof.
Second option is to remove the Escape hatch and build a frame to reduce the opening size to 14x14 then install ur MaxxFan there. If I were doing this, I'd prefer this method as I hate to add roof penetrations that can become leak points.
You might want to read through this post from table of contents as well.

Thanks.
Any options for just a cover without a fan? I'm hoping to only install a cover over my existing escape hatch so that if the escape hatch is open, the outside cover will stop the rain from getting in. I had googled but couldn't find anything, but wasn't sure if I just wasn't calling it the right item.
Thank you for the link :)
