UBlack water tank cleaning

I found a post from a few years back on this topic but little else.  I want to give the shallow black water tank on my 2023 16' Scamp a good cleaning.  In the post I found Pinky recommended this;

While another poster thought it didn't work as intended because of the shallowness of the Scamp black water tank.  I'm wonder if it wouldn't work 'good enough' or there are any other recomendations at this point.

The Scamp "black water" tank is the off white tank under the toilet seat and the black tank under the floor in back is the "Gray water" tank. Because of all of the soap / detergent in the latter I just rinse it out with a fresh water with a drive around the block. I just add pine sol and fresh water for the black water tank to rinse that out at the same time.

Yes, and I'm not so much

Yes, and I'm not so much worried about the gray water tank.  Regarding the black water tank, I've heard of people putting water and a bag of ice in before that drive around the block - the ice acting as an abrasive I guess.
