Looking forward to the delivery of our Scamp 13 stand. layout 2 in February 17. Have a 2016 rav4 with tow cap. of 1500#.
Has anyone experiance with this set up?

Towing w/ Toyota RAV 4
My tow vehicle is a 2016 toyota rav4 with a tow capacity of 1500#. Electric brakes have been added to the purchase order.
We are new Life Time SOI members, joining shortly after our placing order with Wayne Pitlick, who was very helpful with the process, June 5th./
More important than tow capacity is tongue weight. My 2016, 13', no bath, twin propane tanks, empty water tanks,has a tongue weight of 215#. I have found Scamp weights are on the light side. 1500# tow capacity is cutting it real close to the 2016 13' weight.

The trailer will have a single propane tank. The vehicle wgt cap. is 900#, gvw is 4525 so I figure I'm cutting it close.
Just changing camp style from tent to trailer. The camping equipment weighed in around 800# operation was unremarkable.
Since I'll be exchanging 100# of gear to hitch weight I may be OK.
We are not new to trailer camping we had an F-250 deisel and towed a 10K fithe wheel hitch.Weight has always concerned me, since the tow was purchased befor any consideration of rec. camping.
