I'm picking up my Scamp 13 front bath, loaded with AC, awning, series 27 battery and 2 propane tanks. Factory says the tongue weight will be 160 lbs. On another web site a gal picked up the same unit, but with out AC and awning and a single propane tank. She had it weighed and her tongue weight was 220 lbs. I'm confused. I'll be towing with a 2014 Ford Escape 2L with factory tow package. The car will be carrying 2 adults @ 300 lb. plus an 80 lb dog. The hitch receiver is rated at 350 lbs. max tongue load. Will I be pushing this rating? Should I go with 1 propane tank? I will appreciate any help. Thanks.

tongue weight Scamp 13
Our 2015 Scamp 13 standard model with front bunks, awning, dual LPG tanks, standard battery, no AC has a tongue weight of 255 lbs. This weight was measured just as it came from the factory with no water, food, clothes, etc. I would think that the front bath would weigh more than the bunks. Water in the fresh water tank would lower tongue weight. Pictures look like the AC unit is pretty much centered over the wheels so it may not affect static tongue weight. Hope this helps.
