Televisions in campers

I recently bought a TV to install inside my 2013 Scamp 16 footer. I bought it on Amazon, it's an Axess 15.6" screen HD LED with DVD player. It's also a 12 volt TV. I hooked it up at home and it has a great picture. I think it will be a great addition to my camper, I hope!  In the Scamp 16'  I bought the roof antenna and it also has a cable hook up outside and in. I know the cable and antenna are two different systems but do I need a seperate cable converter box for this TV to work inside the camper like I were viewing it at home ????

TV

The last trailer I had a TV in had a Wineguard crank up antenna with an amplifier and a cable hookup for the campgrounds that supply cable. To use the cable hookup you just made sure the amplifier was turned off and to use the antenna you turned the amplifier on with no outside cable hookup.

If your TV is not an old analog tuner then it just goes straight into the cable and no converter box is necessary.  Since you just bought the TV that should be the case.

TV question solved..........I think !

Thanks Greg, that's what I'm doing. A new TV with a cable for whenever possible use of cable and I bought an outdoor antenna with a range that should work nicely. It has a rotation unit under it (very small) and I can put it 15 feet in the air. I think this will work well.

TV in a Scamp

We are the proud owners of a 2008 16 ft. Scamp, in like new condition ! We got a 1080 p TV and blue ray player for our viewing fun,and works great! We also connected the cable to the trailer for provided cable from the Campground and itmit too worked just fine.
