Congratulations! I'm sitting in my 13' Scamp right now. Thunderstorms booming in the distance and I'm nice and cozy. Already have dinner ready to go. Have fun and don't forget to ask for a factory tour when you pick up your trailer. Also, come prepared with any questions you might have. The guy who went over the trailer with us at pickup was extremely patient and answered all our questions.
Thanks. We will no doubt have a lot of questions for them and are looking forward to the tour. We live in northern Wisconsin, but we plan to be there the night before. Would like to hear where people stayed when they pick theirs up.

We visited the factory about 3 weeks ago. We stayed at the Super 8 motel on hwy 371 in Baxter, MN. There are many other motels in the Baxter/Brainerd area. If you are in "season" the rates are in the $100 a night range. Stay on 371 to the factory...do not turn left at the sign that says Backus. The factory is about a mile farther on 371 on the left. You can't miss the Scamp high on a pole and the lot with Scamps in it. A beautiful drive. Congratulation on your new Scamp. Ours is not due until the week of Oct 5th.

There is a Roadway Inn in Pine River, MN about 9 miles south of Backus. We stayed there and there are restaurants nearby. We have also stayed in a cabin at Rutger's Resort just a bit southwest out of Backus. July will be prime time at the resort so they may be fully booked. These are among the closest options.
