Shining up the Scamp

When I bought my Scamp two summers ago, the owner gave me a jug of Zep Wet-Look Floor Finish.  He said to just rub it on and watch it shine.  Well, it worked pretty well when I used it last summer, but when I took the Scamp out of storage it looked really dull and flaky.  After many conversations with Greg, I've found out that you should NOT use floor finish on a Scamp.  Today I took it to a boat repair place and now I'll be using acetone to remove the finish and will then have the boat guy do the rest at a considerable cost.  Greg told me to post this so no one else will make the same mistake!!  If you see a dull 13' Scamp this summer in CO and MT it's probably me!!

I used Meguiars premium

I used Meguiars premium marine wax, and it worked great! Takes about 3 applications to bring any Scamp back to bright white.  Believe me, it works great!
