stick the outdoor sensor in the fridge. It transmits OK though the metal fridge in my pop-up camper but with the added foil insulation and maybe added distance in the Scamp, YMMV.
I would be interested in hearing how well it works in a Scamp.

Edit: Turns out there are similar items made just for fridges. This appears to be the same unit under two different brand names. Nice thing is it has an alarm function. Have not used it.
