Puzzled need help

Sat on side of freeway most of day. Car towed to mechanic. Scamp towed to State Park.

No lights will work in Scamp, 12v nor 120. Park manager says power coming in...some outlets, 12v and 120 work. AC works, Maxx fan beeps, the light turns green and then it won't turn on.12v system is now registering 13.5.

Any clues as to what is going on with Scamp?

Puzzled help

Hi Sue.  I am sorry that you are having a tough day.  I am not an expert on electrical problems but I will share what I know.  Maybe, it will help you.  Hopefully, someone knowledgeable will respond soon.

I assume that you have checked your circuit breakers and 12 volt fuses.  If not, start there.  On my 2012 16-footer, Breaker #2 is labeled 12 v Main, and 12 volt fuse #2 is lights & fan.  Look for breakers that are tripped.  Push the breaker hard to the left (off) position (you should feel a click) then turn it to the right.  If it was a one-time event, it should reset.  But, if there is a short, it probably won't.  I wonder if you have a short in the Maxx fan.  Turn it off.  The following is the list of fuses for my trailer and maybe some are the same for you.

12 volt fuses

1. 12 v Main; 2. Lights & Fan; 3. Furnace; 4. Bathroom pump; 5. Sink Pump.

110 Breakers

1. 110 v Main; 2. 12 v Main; 3. 110 Light over Dinette; 4. Outside 110 outlet; 5. 110 outlet in Front of Dinette; 6. Fridge, Outlet by sink, & Outlet near Fridge; 7. Hot water Heater; 8 Air Conditioner.

This might give you idea of what might be on the same circuit and what might be the suspect circuit.

Best wishes

Thanks Sunfish!

So good of you to tell me this info! I'm in a 13 ft 2017. I thought I was dealing with both 120 and 12v systems. I had thrown the breakers but not pulled the fuses. I pulled all of the fuses, found one blown, replaced that and had lights. I called Scamp and got Eric and he told me that if that didn't fix the Maxx fan to go to an RV place to have it fixed. I've read discussions on the Maxx fan and I'm going to open another discussion on that issue. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction!

Hoping your adventures are wonderful,
Sue
