what are the pros of 54" bed , i would say the extra room in bed , negatives are 10" narrower kitchen cabinet ,means less counter top space ,less lower cabinet storage , and on curb side of trailer 10" less wide closet , What do most prefer 54" or 44 " bed
Not much space in a 13 foot trailer so im favoring the 44" bed,as my wife and i are very thin people and have slept very comfortable in a 48" wide tent .

I am not so thin so head to toe sleeping is our only sleeping option in a 44" bed. If you have a goucho model you can remove the front seat back and you both have your own bed. Also with a 44" bed you can build a bed extension and sleep long ways in the bed for lots more room. 54" bed trailers sell faster when you decide to get a larger trailer. You covered most concerns but you can add flip up counter extensions for more counter space. Most of your time in the trailer is actually spent sleeping or lounging the 54" bench is more comfortable for me. Best thing to do is go to a FG meet and compare what is best for you.

What down side to having a 54" bed, I haven't found one. With the big bed the dinette is much easier to use. When our big bed is up, we slide the bed board to the bed of the benches and store our bedding under it. The big bed works well for us. The dinette table can be used as a counter.
