We are headed there Thursday the 23rd or very very early the 24th to get ours. and are using it at a family gathering the 2nd weekend in June, Definately excited
Yes, the camper is great. It is 5:40 am and we are +/- 45 miles north of Peoria, IL. We arrived at Backus at 8:30 am yesterday. They have 28 campers ready for pickup this week. I will post pictures soon.
I am sure it is one of them in your Pictures calling out to us to be taken home. It is standard with bath and no AC and one propane tank. Next week it will follow us home
We too made the trip Last Friday and are home without issue. We got to Scamp at 8:30AM where we found our Egg patiently waiting for us inside there shop. We went thru the systems with them and were on the road by 10:00 Everyone was great and everything was ready. Spent yesterday going thru the systems and appliances and filled and tested the water system. Even though the scamp 13 is light we are very glad we opted for the trailer brakes. as it stops as if it was not even on the back of our little Subaru.
The only odd thing was that the bathroom vent does not have a latch and seems to open its self when traveling Or I am crazy and just forgot to close it
Whole thing was a good experience. Good people Thanks to everyone there!
Appreciate your comment about the brakes, I am debating whether to add the brakes or not. Basic 13 footer, no air no washroom so I am told 1200 lbs ???? Is your Subaru 4 or 6 cyl and how did it tow?
Our 81 basic 13 weighed out between 18-1900lbs packed for the road. I'd never figure below 1600 for a 13 Scamp to be safe, but well worth a trip to the scales to know exactly.
Nice you are getting your Scamp Monday

Is it on the back of your tow vehicle and are you headed south yet? Good luck and enjoy the trip
