I ran across an old Scamp brochure while doing some serious housecleaning.  The postmark on the envelope is 11/3/80.  The price for the 13 was $3795, the 16 was $4695, and the 13 kit was $3195. 

I had forgotten they had offered a kit at one time.  The brochure reads: "Complete assembly time approximately 60 hours.  No welding, no fiberglassing--minimum tools required.  This is it, the most complete travel trailer kit available anywhere.  It includes everything!  All the necessary components and hardware required for complete assembly.  In addition, all interior components are pre-cut and finished.  Scamp kit also includes fully illustrated step-by-step assembly manual."

Back in 1980 I was working some pretty long hours and didn't have a place where I could have assembled the kit.  But at the stage of life I am at now it might be an enjoyable winter project.
