Hi, am soon to be a new scamper. Am learning all I can about my new 13' very basic Scamp. Will eventually be living in it full time, out west. Will live part time in it at home and continue to work, learning and saving till retirement time.

Any ideas/info will be much appreciated.

Thank you for letting me join.

Question

Thank you! Am excited about my Scamp, planning and learning till I get it.

Question, are they always slow to emails/calls or is this just their busy time?

Slow responses

Well, in my experience, it's always slow. They're building these units year-round, and I don't think their staff fluctuates. On the other hand, for sure there are more demands for mods and repairs once the Scamping season starts - once people like me, who live near enough to run over to Backus - get our Scamps going. But of course, we're not that big a part of the Scamp-owning community. I'd say it's just slow. Always. Make a personal phone call, or be persistent if emailing.

My experience has been that when you do finally get an answer, it will be pretty comprehensive. Good luck!
