Need advice for adding additional fresh water tank to 16 footer

We just completed our second trip in our 2016 16-foot layout 6.  12 gallons of fresh water just isn't nearly enough. Has anyone added an additional fresh water tank to one?  Would love to hear about where you put it and how. We named our precious little guy "Casper" and really love him - we just need to modify/change a few things.

Extra water

Remember, water weighs 8# per gallon. That's 96# for every 12 gallons you're driving around with. Most of us just add water as needed and use it sparingly. The more you use, the more you have to dump.

Collapsible Water Carrier

We've always carried the collapsible 5 gallon water carriers and a funnel spout. When going for a long boondocking trip we fill one or two of those in addition to the onboard tank. You can lower the tailgate on the truck and back it right up to the water fill or just use the 5 gal from the truck for the main cooking needs preserving the tank.

Extra water

I carry one of these and make trips to the water supply as needed.  I guess if you are going way out in the desert or something you might need something more, but this works well for me.  5 gallon Water Can

Water conservation is of course easier.. just one example is capturing gray water in a jug and using it to flush the commode.  The same water does double duty.  If  you are way out in the desert however then you can duty outside most anywhere  so you don't need the water for the commode.
