I have changed my mind and really want the 16 foot over the 13. That being said, we are worried that we won't be able to move the larger Scamp into its home in our tiny backyard! I want to convince my husband that he CAN move the Scamp with a dolly into right place. Even if he can, I'm not sure exactly how much space it needs?Does anyone have any ideas or has anyone been in this situation? I'm running out of time because I ordered back in June and they are now calling for final approval!

Moving/Storing 16 foot Standard
When we visited the Scamp factory, they easily moved Scamps with a dolly. However, it was on a flat concrete floor. I bought a dolly and can't move our 16-ft Deluxe because our ground is not level and smooth enough. I also am not young and strong. If you buy a dolly, get the biggest one that you can find--ours twists and could easily break. If you have a flat concrete surface, you could replace the tongue jack with a wheel. Scamp sells them but you can buy them at auto stores or tool stores. They are easy to put on and take off. We used to easily jockey a trailer with a jack wheel in our garage a long time ago by pushing and pulling the tailer by hand. I currently park our Scamp trailer in a tight spot outside by backing it in. I am not good at backing but with a little patience, I can get it into the spot. I hope you get your Scamp because there probably is a way to get it into your spot.
Consider our loaded 2019 13 foot but -Wo roof top ac is over 1,500lb and a well appointed 16 is around 2,000 Maybe more But I believe it is on 14 inch tires instead of the 13's on the 13 Scamp. So it rolls a tiny, tiny bit easier. If by hand it would be very tough on turf or even gravel. I once needed to move my 13 and used a lawn tractor with a 2" ball but it was marginal.

Remember, a Scamp 16' is measured from ball to bumper. Does that help? Also, with a wheel on the front you could use some kind of block and tackle/pulley system to move it into a tight spot.
i move my Scamp 16 around in my yard with the below. I have a very narrow drive way so i pull in head first and unhitch and use the dolly to maneauver my Scamp into place. This has no weight limit, and my driveway is a slight hill, i've never had any issues and i've done a lot of moving. comes with 1 7/8 ball too which is perfect for old Scamps.
