Scamp had 4" up there and the 6" should be awesome. I am going to open it in the loft, let it expand and then trim to fit with the electric knife which cuts these foam mattresses like butter. Afraid if I cut it outside, we'll never get it up there in the loft so will do it in place. Should be heavenly to sleep on.
Our 16' standard (2020) with the side dinette has a back bed dimension of 45x75 1/2 (of course, you have to cut the rounded corners). A full size mattress is 54 x 75. We bought a 5" foam mattress and I trimmed it using the existing cushions as my pattern. We left the factory cushions at home and were quite comfortable with the mattress camping for a month in Florida this winter. The Deluxe might have a bigger bed, but if it does, I'm betting it isn't more than an extra 9 inches, so you should be safe with a full mattress. That said, you might want to consider other options. Some folks like to put a thin topper on the existing cushions that they can roll up and then have the ability to have the back table. We sacrificed the table option by having a thick mattress and leaving the cushions at home; it worked for us, but it is worth thinking about.
Full is what you want unless you have the bigger bed option. As far as size, if you are keeping the cushions as the Mattress you just need likely 2 to 3" mattress topper memory foam. It will add some cushion and comfort to the cushions. If you are removing the cushions you will need a Full memory foam mattress, 5-6" minimum and it goes up from there. Your choice. They get heavier the larger they are, that's why we kept the Cushions and just did a topper.
We just bought the Zinus Green Tea Memory Foam 6" for our Scamp 19 that is going up for sale in April sometime.

Great suggestions on the memory foam.
Picking up my 16' Deluxe in May. Side dinette, so I intend to keep the back dinette made as a bed. What size memory foam works? Queen? Full?
thanks.
