Until then I used a long open flame lighter. That was on a 2017, There were a lot of changes made for 2021. Maybe some one with a 2020 can let us know what they got.

On our '06, I use a butane fire starter that's out of gas. The spark at the end works just fine.

Ours is a 2022 delux 13, the stove has a built-in spark lighter that runs off the battery. It works very well!
