The drain valve on my fresh water tank leaks out onto the floor of the tank compartment every time I try to drain the tank. How can I change out the old drain valve for a new one. I am unable to drain the tank anytime especially if I have RV antifreeze in it. This is on our 2004 19 Ft Scamp. Mark

leaking drain valve
Is it possible that the short drain hose connected to the valve has split and is clogged? If so, you should probably be able to replace it from under the trailer. Or, with the hose removed, you should be able unscrew and replace the valve.
The drain valve is simply threaded into the tank. Remove the tank straps and drain tubing so the tank can be lifted up. You should be able to unscrew the tank valve. Proceed slowly so you don’t damage the tank threads. If I recall I just took the old one to HDepot and was able to find one, but there are direct replacements and universal ones like this
