Hi folks,
I have had my Scamp for 3 years and have yet to buy a proper jack to use if I need to change a tire. I'm living on borrowed time, I guess. Various posts have suggested that the scissors jack in my car is not likely to be the best for the Scamp. I'm going to buy one and keep it in Scamp.
I'm looking for recommendations from this experienced group - specific brands and models, and / or things I should look for. Or types of jacks that experience has shown do not work very well with Scamp frames.
Thanks
Tom
After I got bought my scamp in 2013, I carried a hydraulic jack for a few years, but then I switched to a scissor jack. Mostly because it is lighter. And once I needed to use one, I actually used the car (truck) scissor jack. I do not think it matters much which you chose. Just make sure you push on the trailer frame, not the axle, or some other part.

Thanks, Paul. Sounds like the main things are a flat top to sit under the frame and a big enough base to be stable.

Try your car jack first. It might work just fine. Buy a different one only if needed. To be safe, raise the trailer while it is on the hitch.
A small "bottle jack" works easily.
