Installing brake controller & 7-pole adapter 09 ForesterI thought this PDF might be helpful to Subaru owners interested in doing their own install of a 7-pole connector and electric brake controller, especially since many Subaru dealers are apparently reluctant to do it.  Before I ventured out on my own, I stopped by my local U-Haul trailer rental store, but didn't get good vibes about the quality of the work they would do. I suppose a trailer dealership would be able to do a good job, but I decided to do the job myself. I know my 2009 model-year Subaru is getting long in the tooth, but I suspect the overall job would be similar on more recent models.
