Very excited to head out this weekend. We have been "camping" next to our house to get used to all the systems and to achieve good sleeping arrangements and comfort. To us, good sleeping is the first requirement for camping with our Scamp. This weekend we are going to a park with full hookups (and a pool!! It is supposed to be HOT!!!). Our plan is to camp at least one long weekend per month through at least October. Next year we hope to be experienced enough to progress to week long and two week long trips. Then, time to hit the road!!

Heading out for our first trip with the Scamp
One of the things we decided to do while we waited to hit the road, is to camp in all the state parks. This way we would be familiar with the parks in our home state (FL) and we could concentrate on the other 47 states and Canada once we hit the road.
Good plan to GET OUT THERE AND USE the Scamp !!!

I've taken my scamp for a test drive for a weekend, but this weekend is the first for us as a couple. We are doing a COE along the Mississippi River in Wisconsin. It will be hot for us too and storms predicted. Fortunately, Potosi Brewery isn't far away.
