Is Group 27 battery a marine or regular vehicle battery?

Is the battery provided on a Scamp a marine battery or just a car battery? We upgraded to a group 27. What brand are the batteries? thanks

What brand is prob what they get a deal on.. mine (Sept 2015) was a "Northern 27EV" deep cycle. Good luck finding any specs on it however.

If they give you a good credit for buying NO battery, then you might be better off buying your own quality deep cycle battery.

But I will say that so far the one Scamp included is just fine.

they show a Northern on the web site but it is a grp 24, I looked for that battery on the Northern site and could not find it. I've purchased a lot from Northern over the years and always gotten quality. (Its no Harbor Freight!)
