I have a 13' Scamp w/a bathroom on order. Delivery to happen fall of 2022. I'm trying to decide if I want to spend the extra $$ for the glass stove top. It seems that it would be handy to have the additional counter space when the burners aren't in use. The down side is the loss of some drawer depth.
Does anyone have an opinion since you've received your Scamp? Glad you did/didn't get the glass top? Regret you did/didn't get the glass top?
Thanks for the insight!
We like it, looks nice too. Didn't even know the drawer depth was different.
I remember the phase your in, we changed our options about 4 times between order and delivery! On a side note, highly recommend getting the tank level gauges, very handy.
Thanks again Mr T. I'll have to reconsider the tank level gauges. My initial thoughts were that they wouldn't be much value since the tank capacities are so minimal.
To me, small tanks make the gauges more advantageous -- Small tanks making it easier to run out of fresh water (when not hooked up to water), and more importantly, easier to overflow the waste tank(s) on the ground.
People did without gauges for a long time, and still do -- But it's nice to have. The gauges are non-contact, nothing is inside the tanks. The level sensor is a plastic strip on the outside of the tank with 2-wires going to the readout display.
I ordered the tank gauges on my 16' deluxe which I will pick up early April. Ordered for the same reason you did. Are the gauges a known brand such as See Level or something generic that Scamp installs?
Chris
Yep, a major brand, can't remember for sure if it was SeeLevel. The bezel on the indicator is customized for Scamp, but it's a standard product.
Edit: yep, it's a SeeLevel with a custom bezel. There's actually a "hidden" tactil button on the left, pressing that area will show battery voltage on the display.
We got our 16' in November. The glass top pivots up and also prevents spatters from going onto the bed/dining area.

Thanks Rick!
We have a 2020; unfortunately, the glass top was not an option when we ordered ours. I’m in the process of building a top for our stove. It’s awkward because the knobs stick up higher than the burners. I’d say get the glass top stove.
Thanks for your advice Sunnyone!
