Love your mod on your Scamp for the generator. I'm just curious if you had an idea of how much tongue weight that added? And if you were concerned about that? Thank you for your time.
I did not like the idea of hauling gas cans and was limited on tongue weight. I bought a Honda 2000 that was converted to propane. No roof top AC so we got a window frame from Vtec on the forum to mount a 5000 btu window unit. Works great! I don't worry about carrying propane in the TV.
Who did the honda conversion? I like Propane and Natural gas for generator sets. The smell less and are down a slight bit on power but the gas does spill or not go bad after a year either. My home back up unit is an old 6000 watt ONAN RV unit converted to Natural gas and can run for 7 days with no issues and stop it to check oil once a day. Visually the oil stays cleaner longer but gets changed anyway Be very very careful with any generator mounted on or close to an rv. the Carbon monoxide emitted has sickened and killed too many people over the years. because of generators running near..
I have a Honda 2K and a Wen 2K generator. Both could run my A/C with no issues at sea level (non Eco mode.). On a recent trip the Honda 2K really struggled with really high temperatures and altitude. I installed an Easy Start now the A/C starts and runs with the generators in Eco mode. But back to generators. The Easy Start people were recommending the Westinghouse 2.5Ki generator. Its built like a Honda 2K and weighs 48 lbs and the noise numbers look good. $600. with 3 year warranty. If I were shopping I would consider that generator. They make a commercial or about $50. more.
I have run my Honda 48 hours straight. You just have to take oil with you for oil changes. I get no gas fumes from my Honda with the vent closed for transport. My issue is with the extra fuel containers stinking.
Thanks for the info! Do you know if you are running the Coleman Mini Mach in your 19? I THINK I have that in my 1995 19. Does the Wen get it done if only running ac? Any towing tips with the Nissan? Will be pulling with a 2012 and have modified the original hitch assembly. Thanks! JB

Enjoying life on a dead end road.
The new EU2200 from Honda WILL power the AC, but that's about it. Will not also power the micro wave if the AC is on.
