Electronic stove igniters

Decided to add an electronic igniter to our 2 burner Scamp stove. Saves us for looking for that lighter that always wants to hide from us.

Besides the kit, I had to add 2 small corner braces to the burner post to give me a place to mount the actual igniters. The 2 igniters started out longer, but you will end up customizing them by trimming and bending so they are within 1/4" of where the propane exits the burner.

The AA battery compartment mounting hole requires a 7/8" hole, which I was able to easily cut with a wood drill bit. Just make sure the igniter power pack will fit behind where you drill that hole.

My igniter power pack has 3 leads, but I only use 2. Fortunately I read the instructions and learned you still have to plug in that 3rd lead, but you simply ground the other end to the bottom of the stove pan.

The single AA battery is easy to replace, just unscrew that black knob.

Nice job.  I did this mod

Nice job.  I did this mod several years ago.  I have nothing plugged into the 3rd lead, as you call it and it work fine.
