Electric Heater

Just thought I would but it out there for discussion I purchase a small table top electric heater to use when at camp grounds to save on propane, my Scamp is a 2017 anyone think i will have an issues with electrical system ?  My local Menards had it on sale for $7.99 they also had a ceramic one for the same price but from what i understand ceramic gets hot and stays hot might be a fire hazard.  Thank you for any commits

Electric Heater

Hi Duane,

We used a very similar heater in our 13’s for years and it heated the whole Lil Scamp quite well when we had hookups. Very good that it has the dual settings as you won’t always want it full on. Shouldn’t be any issue with your electrical handling it when you have hookups.

While your heater will work

While your heater will work just fine, and I agree with Greg, low will be the most used setting, there is nothing wrong with a ceramic heater.

In the interest of others who will read these posts, I will say that ceramic heaters have a safety advantage. They operate at substantially lower surface temperatures while producing the same heat to the environment. Due to this lower surface temperature, one is less likely to burn themselves if the heater is touched while in operation and less likelihood of igniting other items.

Your heater should work fine, but will it shut off if tipped over?
