Hi all! I was trying to think of a way to cover the carpet stains in our new 13ft Scamp. So I went with the same method we use for our Vanagon camper vans at my job. They fit perfectly and are easy to take our and hose down if needed. If you are interested, we put them on our website for purchase. I feel like not everyone wants to do a big DIY project to replace their flooring and this is an easy and affordable alternative. So far we only have mats for the 13ft Scamp. There is one for the main area in front of the sink and one for under the table area.
We've had lots of requests for making ones for the 16ft as well. So that is in the works!
If you are interested, you can go to www.vangorentalmn.com/store and scroll all the way to the bottom to choose your mat and colors. (Only available for shipping in the US)
Have a good week everyone!
Seems most people order the vinyl flooring now, but I run into the carpeting occasionally on the older Scamps I've redone. It does stain and look fugly, plus never can really get it to seem clean. These would help quite a bit if you wanted to keep carpeting.
I always replace the carpeting with vinyl plank flooring as it is more suited to camping and simply sweeping with the broom. I don't know what the mats cost, but vinyl plank for a Scamp 13 is usually under $100 and takes an afternoon to do.
