I like the LED porch light but it is way too bright for everyday use. I feel it would disturb my camping neighbors. And sometimes I'd like a low light when I'm sitting outside at night. Does anyone know if these are dimmable LEDs? The switch inside is readily accessible and it would be easy to add a dimmer. I will call Scamp and see if they know but wondered if anyone here has tried this.
Thanks
Tom
I changed my stock lite to LED and it was WAY too bright, so I covered it with yellow electrical tape, then two more layers of yellow tape, then BLACK electrical tape and the light leakage around the tape was about right.
Turns out that LED porch light is indeed dimmable.
I used this RecPro product.
RecPro RV Dimmer Switch | RV 12V Touch Dimmer Switch | Compatible with LED, Incandescent, or Halogen Bulbs (Single) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B081FC5BGH
Easy install. The dimmer taps for on / off and dims and brightens holding your finger on the button. Works great. I left the existing switch and it becomes a master. (I don't know how to turn the photo upright.)
