Add an oven?

We are in the process of remodeling our Scamp. We have replaced the floor and repaired problems with the wheel wells. The fiberglass work was challenging but now we are looking forward to reinstalling all of the Cabinetry which we have remade ourselves. My question is is it possible or has anyone replaced the stove with an oven / range.? I really enjoy cooking a lot and the measurements seem to fit and the gas seems to work enough that it should be fine to add the oven I just wanted to know if there was something that I hadn't considered that would make it more difficult or impossible to add the oven. Thank you for any advice!

Oven

Looked in your profile and saw you have a 19. The 19 Scamp does have an oven option, or at least it used to, so it is certainly something you can add during ur remodel. I’ve only known one individual that had the oven in the 19 and he removed it and went back to just the stove mostly because he never used it and lost his eyebrows during a repair gone wrong. (Long story, maybe he’ll chime in here) My 19 has the three burner stove, but I see where the cabinetry could easily be modified for the oven.

Oven

We just picked up new 16' Scamp last month.  When we ordered it, I really thought about the oven option.  I eventually decided againt it, mainly because I didn't want to lose storage space, and I wasn't convinced that I would use it enough to justify the loss of that space.

I do like to bake, and I really wanted the option to be able to make some biscuits, cornbread, brownies, muffins,or whatever when we're Scamping.  I researched camp stoves and ovens, and found the Omnia oven.  It's a stove top device that can be used to bake right on top of one of the stove top burners.  It's small, portable, and it is really slick!  I've used it a couple of times now, and I'm so happy I got it.  My Omnia oven will be going with us all the time in the Scamp.  I'm looking forward to having some freshly baked brownies after a nice long hike on our next Scamping trip!
