I was reading that there were some significant changes coming to the 2019 scamp 13. Can anyone speak to these. I may be crazy or delusional but think I read the door and door latch was upgraded, Two porch lights, Led lights, Screen door improvements and other such improvements. We have a 13 standard with Shower/toilet and brakes on order and hope to take possession in Late June or July. The brochures seem to show the 2017-18 scamps. We are getting excited but July is far off in the future

2019 13 changes ?
Door and door latch was upgraded: True (and only about 20 years late)
Two porch lights: I have no idea
Led lights: has been an option, no idea if its standard now.
Screen door improvements: They went to the Plisse screen door in 2015. I like it but you do need to keep the bottom track fairly clean so it does not bind up.
And other such improvements: Well I don’t know what changes they have recently made, or might make before you take delivery. They can make “improvements” any time they see fit. But I do know who does know. Since you are paying close to twenty grand I think you can trust Evelands to answer you questions.

I Will call Jim and find out what I can. . We plan to make it up to Backus this spring to see and finalize the trailer we are buying and discuss a couple little items like a possible place above the rear window to add my Garmin back up camera. And maybe additional power outlet or two to the cabinets. Coming from a 26 foot Motorhome with a Toad, to a Scamp 13 will be interesting for sure,

Can anyone either post or send me a picture of the late 2018 /2019 new door latch now being used instead of the old style .
I've ordered a new 2019 13' Deluxe but can't find any picture to confirm the door latch is now updated
Any help would be greatly appreciated
One more thing - a picture of the new door hinge would sure be appreciated !

I Talked to Sales yesterday and besides the door update the standard lighting is LED's now. I forgot all my other questions.
Now torn between ordering with the furnace or not.
2019 Scamp 13 standard
I decided to get the furnace at the last minute and glad I did. Since its easy to use and has a thermostat it's great to have to take the chill off and can be used when boondocking. I also use a small electric heater when hooked up to electric.

If you boondock, the furnace is best, it adds no water vaper to the air, and is automatic and it will not kill you. I have the furnace, the A/C heat strip (it has no thermostat), and carry an electric heater for hookups and generator operation.
Scamp still has a long way to go to catch up with other manufacturers. Built in solar panels, back up camera, single point hot water system, combination lock on the door, armless awnings that Carefree now offers, and more. Come on Scamp, get with it and bring in more modern features.
