In the process of purchasing a fantastic one owner 2008 19' Scamp. When inspecting it I saw that it had a small patch in the lower floor due to some water damage and the linoleum in the dinette was loose/warped but the floor feels solid when you stand on it. Looking under the seats in the dinette revealed painted OSB with no visible rot or damage. From the underside I see a small amount of discoloring around the repair but otherwise the OSB looks and feels solid.
What has me a little concerned is the shell is sitting in the bumper mount on the left side and has the proper 1/16" or more gap on the right.
Is this a big deal? Should I be concerned?
Thanks for any input.
I have seen the shell touching on a few trailers with good floors. I would just monitor for distortion of the edge trim. You can lift the shell by removing the floor to frame screws and placing composite shims between the frame and floor, then reattaching the floor screws.
