Thanks Greg

Thanks Greg,

If I had to do it all over, I'd use 2x3's rather than 2x4's just to keep the weight down plus add space between the shelves...

exhaust and intake

I know this is a couple years old, but the extra intake which is right above the A/C for cooling the condenser compressor, is there a fan in there to suck cooler air in? and force it out the exhaust port? or are you  hoping ir just flows on it's own?

thanks

Video link not working

Hey there! I am looking to put a window AC unit in, and would really like to see the video you linked but YouTube says it's unavailable. Can you check that link or tell me a bit about how you did the bracing and venting on the install? I would truly appreciate it. Thank you for sharing!

Vents

I'm going to attempt this soon.  Where did you get the vents from?  Can you recommend one?

Thanks!

Vents

These right next to the door.  I'm assuming they have some kind of netting to prevent insects from getting in?

YES! They both have plastic screen door screening.

YES! They both have plastic screen door screening. I used hot-glue to attach them to the vents... The one with the door has the screen mounted on the door... Today (years later) they are still holding very well...

The top vent is one of the INTAKE vents and the lower big one is the EXHAUST vent.

Here's some info on the items I used...

I don't have my information on those two items but I believe what I have below is exactly what I used. Check for better pricing on EVERYTHING before purchasing. Before ordering, RECHECK for size... Depending on how you do your installation and devices you have, it can change things and sizes... don't order unless you know the cutout that you need to make this work.
