The search function isn't working

I get absolutely no results no matter what words I put into the search box with either Google Chrome or Firefox on my desktop using Windoze 10.... is it just me?

Search

Thanks for letting us know, I'll check and see what's up. With the redesign happening in the background some settings may have gotten whacked.

Working fine here. I tested a search for Boler with no login in Firefox and it returned pages of results. Then I logged in as a basic user and did a search for Scamp 16 and got pages of results.

At the moment, it looks like it would be something happening locally on your settings, etc. Do you use an Ad Blocker by any chance, could be blocking the search results??

Anyone else not getting search results??

Right you are!!

You were correct, it was the ad blocker. As soon I disabled it I got plenty of results. Thanks much for the quick response and help.

I belong to several forums and one thing that some have that I really like is the ability to "like" a post without posting a reply, such as is found here:  http://smith-wessonforum.com/smith-wesson-knives-collectables/519334-mah...

When a member likes a post, the like button disappears and his handle appears under the post in a box with others who have liked the post. I think this makes members feel much more engaged and limits posts that only say "I agree" or something similar. Maybe you can include something like that in your site update.

Thanks again,

Harold

Like

Harold,

I like that idea and will look at whether our software has the capability to do something similar.

By the way...

Greg,

Before retiring, I spent the last 15 years as a graphic designer for an engineering company. I'm pretty good with Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat, Dreamweaver and other software, and have a good eye for page design (not so much with direct html and such). If you have any tasks you would like to outsource that I'm capable of, I gladly offer my services as a volunteer. (Darn good at database manipulation as well.)
