Cable TV

We had the plug for cable tv installed when we bought  our 16 ft Deluxe Layout B( side dinette) when we bought it in Sept 2016.  Television not being a high prioitiy when camping we finally got around to trying it out.  We got reception but it was very snowy and unwatchable.  Te connection from the campground was good because i snaked the coaxial cable thru the back window and attached it to the tv - a perfect picture.

So my guess is the problem is somewhere from the connector on the left side about six inches in front of the city water connection to the tv.  I looked in the space under the bed ( same area the power cord is) and could see where the cable came in.  It is just coax cable - was hoping it was some type of connection that was loose.  Since we get a picture it must be connected, but I suspect something is loose, hence the "snow" in June.

Any ideas on how to track down the problem?

Cable

We picked up our 16 Deluxe last month and have the same cable connection available on the outside. We purchased the television/antenna/cable package offered by the factory. My understanding was turning off the power boosted antenna would switch over to the cable connection. (If you had cable hooked up.) Do you have the antenna?

In ours I see where the connection comes under the bench seat near the power inverter. The coax cable(s) terminate in the rear overhead cabinet where the coax mounting plate was installed into that upper cabinet. (Taking a picture would be easier that trying to describe our setup........) Our power antenna coax was routed over the roof and into a sealed spot in the roof.

A lot of assumptions on my part but OTA has been good and no chance to try cable.

Cable

It sounds like ours is set up the same way.  Yes we have the antenna as well and it seems to work fine.  We have watched  'over-the-air tv at several campsites.  I have turned the button for the antenna on and off and tried every configuration I can think of.  As I said, the one time I tried cable, I got lots of channels, but they were all full of snow.  I'll check the upper cabinet to see if something got loose there.

Switch

I discovered two switches for the power antenna. One is a push button on the coax wall plate on the upper cabinet (the on/off for the antenna) the other is located on the antenna itself (just to the side of the directional adjustment) which turns off the blue LED signal strength indicator.

If I had access to cable I would give it a go here.................leme know how it turns out

Cable

Yes, I have the same.  Turning on by the tv turns the antenna on up front.  I've tried turning it on and off at both sites.

It may be awhile until, I get a chance to hok it up again to cable, but I'll let you know if and when I determine anything.
