I'm Melissa, Today I put down my $500.00 deposit on a new Scamp 16" Layout. It is so very strange to make such a major purchase sight unseen! Yikes. I've never even been in a Scamp trailer.
My salesman was Alan. He was very nice and patient. We take delivery the first or second week in September. The plan is to drive out there, we live on an island off the coast of Maine and haul her back for a fun family road trip.
I know I'll have lots of questions for you guys.

Exciting news on your soon to be Scamp 16! We did half the country with our two kids in a Scamp 13 over 4 years, so ask away.
Nice to see that Scamp Delivery is running about 90 days right now. Sometimes it can get really backlogged.

My wife and I purchased a 13 last November and drove from Dallas to the factory in MN. It was a great, but cold, trip. We love our Scamp like nothing we have ever owned. It is great! Ready for questions.

Welcome to the group. Ask away. I just got a new 16' last month. Layout 6 with bath. You won't be sorry. I recommend you stay overnight in the area at least one night on a check out camp. That way if you find something you need help with you can just go back in the morning before you leave. Do a Google search for campgrounds. We stayed at Ruttger's. Nice place.
Hi Melissa, we absolutely love our 16 ft. Scamp. You chose wise of towing, and comfort. The Scamp is unique and so much fun. We always have folks wanting to see inside. We even had a 5th wheel owner wanting to get one and dump his big rig, after seeing ours ! Post some pics of your new Scamp!

Hi, I got a new scamp last year, 2014, picked it up the last week in september, Towed it all the way back to SE PA. Stayed in a campground in MN and one in Iowa. Picked up 80E and took the turnpikes all the way home, On the way to pick it up our GPS took us through Chicago, never again, By the time i got her home, got it inspected, save up the money for sales tax, tags, winter was was here.
Going to take her South in couple weeks, will really be our first trip. By the way she tows wonderful. We got layout 6. Carl
