Just returned from our maiden Scamp trip. No major issues but one that we were curious about. At the time of purchase we were told that with dual propane tanks a propane tank gauge came standard. I may just be missing it or not looking in the correct location, but I am not seeing a gauge. Also, is it normal to have condensation, I mean alot of condensation within the scamp? Given it is a very rainy spring in the N.W. and we had the furnace running. Any and all thoughts are appreciated.

My guess is what they are referring to is the guage on an auto rollover regulator. When you have dual propane tanks the manual lever on the regulator will be pointed at the tank that is in service. On the regulator there is usually a gauge that will show red or green for the service tank. If it shows red the service tank is empty and the regulator has rolled to the other tank. Move the manual lever over to point at the other tank, gauge should go green, take the empty tank off and go fill it.
Condensation in Scamps is a known issue when the conditions are right. This is mostly in colder weather camping when running the heater. If you have the fantastic fan it is easier to control the condensation by setting the fan on low overnite. Learning where to crack the normal vent if no fantastic fan is trial and error. Basically, the condensation is decreased with ventilation, but nothing will entirely remove it when the conditions are ripe for it.

Note that condensation will form in any trailer, not only Scamps. Even a problem in a tent. Ventilation, ventilation, ventilation is the only answer. I even keep low dry heat on and ventilation going during winter storage so mold does not take over my space! (Mold....just one of my phobias!!) ;>)

Oscarscrib, Since I plan on spending a lot of extended time in the Scamp, I bought one of these humidifiers when Amazon had a Lightening sale.
They are really small, hardly make any noise, and when I tested it in my house after I took a shower, it worked really well. I got this idea from people on the Fiberglass Trailer website -- it seems many of them use these.
Please note, I just grabbed one off of Amazon as an example. I don't remember the particular brand I bought and I don't have easy access to it right now since I've got it packed up for when I go to pick up my Scamp.

Sue, just yesterday I was thinking that this type of device would be really helpful in a Scamp. Interesting that there is not more chatter here about such devices. I am wondering how effective it is in the Scamp, and what the amp draw is?

When I saw this discussed I was not yet into amp draw so I don't remember that specifically. But I do know many people mentioned it as being highly effective so that's why I waited to see it at a good price and bought one. I figure I can always use it when I have electrical hookup and try the fantastic fan when I don't if the amp draw is too much. Try searching for it on the Fiberglass RV site because I think they talk about this quite a bit in past posts.
