Thank you for the forum. My wife and I, recently retired, have just ordered a 13' Scamp with toilet options. We are excited about our new venture, unfortunately, delivery not until 9/25/17. We do however plan to drive from our home 70 miles north of San Francisco, via Lander Wyoming, where our Son and lovely wife and 2 yr old granddaughter live. We can take our time and hope to enjoy some new country. Never been to Minnesota.
I am retired from Cardiology, as an ultrasound tech, for the past 35 yrs. Cheryl worked as a medical records coder. We live with Mick, a wonderful Beagle!

That wait for your new Scamp will be a tough one. (I only have a few more weeks before I pick up my 13 footer. I'm trying to be patient!)
The end of September is a favorite time of mine to camp in northern Minnesota. Temperature is comfortable and the bugs aren't bad. I hope you enjoy your trip.

I just ordered a 13 footer, too. I'll be picking mine up a couple of weeks before you -- Sept. 5th - 8th.

And I'm with you. I've been learning everything I can from this online discussion group -- it's made me change a couple of my options and buy some things to be ready for trailer time. Really love everyone's fixes for things!
