In my younger years and when

In my younger years and when I had my boy to accompany me, we made many MANY trips in our 78 Scamp cross country and back and had many adventures and I didn't mind the driving. Nowadays though he is all grown up with his own family so it's just me and the dog.  Oh how times have changed!

Lil' Nut Delivered

Greetings Jaye,  I will ditto what Greg just reported.  I had my 16' Lil' Nut Scamp delivered here to Northern California in June.  I found no problems on arrival and it arrived when they said it would.   The couple who pulled it out here even spent time going over the important things to watch for.  They even gave a demonstration on setting up the awning.       In 2007 my brother and I traveled to Backus to pick up a 19' Scamp 5er.  We got to see the new factory and observe how the trailers are constructed.  I knew what I was getting this time so figured I didn't need another trip to Backus.   I figured it would cost about the same by having it delivered as the expense of driving to Backus again.   Oh yes, another welcome to the clubhouse.  - - Earl A

For all of the info. I would LOVE to tour the factory sometime, but sometime else, when I am all set up in my new Scamp and better prepared!

Welcome aboard Jaye. We too

Welcome aboard Jaye. We too have a Scamp, a 2008 16 and just love it. Our idea of a trailer starts with the bathroom/shower, and goes from there! We too would NEVER not have a bathroom/shower. Hope to see you at a gathering, or just meeting up some where in this great country.

How y'all Doin'?

We got our 13 footer in May.  We spend the first nite at a lake campground just behind the Scamp factory.     We met folks from Madison and Alaska in town pick to up their Scamps.  The second nite we decided to  spend the nite at Costco (upgrade from Walmart).  It was not allowed but a wonderful lady who manages the bakery said we could  camp on her 20 acre farm.  We had a great  evening - i cooked Colombian arepas and she opened a bottle of wine.  In the morning she gave us fresh eggs.   The trip back to Atlanta way great, especially along the  Mississippi river from Red Wing south.

Hope everything went well

Hope everything went well with delivery.  My husband and I went to backups and saw how they were made.  Great and saw lots of scamps especially the 13 and 16 foot.  Not too many 19 on the lot but they are a great trailer thru and thru.

Zone 3

I live in Scamp's delivery zone 3, and to save a little on delivery charges I met the delivery driver in the parking lot of Cabela's in Michigan, zone 2 near the line to zone 3.

The cost to drive out to Backus and back coupled with my wife's arthritis it was better the have delivered. The factory gave me the cell phone number of the delivery driver and we timed our meeting. Of course he went over everything with me and was quite knowledgeable.
