Well, we arrived yesterday just in time for the rain to stop. They have had 6 strait days of rain, and it's sunny and nice now! We are thinking of zip lining, gangster museum, bicycle riding, and a pontoon boat rental. Spots are nice, all concrete with lots of green space. We are right on lake Hamiltion. So much to do here! We are at Catherine's Landing, a beautiful place, what was once a dairy farm! Tons of wildlife come to visit too!
Will you try your hand at digging for diamonds at the Crater of Diamonds State Park? (We did last spring, just for fun.)

Nah, not likely to dig for diamonds. A 9 year old girl found a 1.3 carat diamond valued at $14,000.00 just last week!

Well, what a nice experience! Carherines Landing is a A number 1 Camp ground. The bathrooms and showers were the best we have ever experienced anywhere! All private, super modern, and cleaned daily. Even though we have a wet bath, we used the facility showers and bathrooms, just the best we have ever seen. All spots are concrete, but the trees are small as just being 2 years old. Is was a old dairy farm now turned into a camp ground. Nice office with trailer needs too. Zip lining is right on the property. Lake Hamilton in this area is downstream from the dam. As a result the water is super cold. A 20 minute drive to the marina upstream from the dam offers boat rentals. We rented a beautiful 22 ft. Pontoon boat, like new. The water was terrific and we enjoyed soaking in the lake for hours. We highly recommend this place with so much to do in Hot Springs, which we found much of it a National Park now.
