LED replacement lamps for the Scamp marker lights

Anyone know a good LED replacement option for the marker lights on a Scamp 13' ?

LED marker lights

I have found almost exact LED replacement lights. The issue with the LED lights are you only get one lead for the hot wire. The ground is picked up through the attachment mounting hole. You either have to solder a ground lead or use a terminal lug to attach the ground. Others have had the same issue. It's a lot of effort for no real savings since the tow vehicle supplies the voltage for these lights. I think I found the LED lights on E Bay but that was several years ago. My current trailer had the factory running lights installed.

Good point

I was wondering the same thing, is it even worth the effort, since the TV is supplying power to lights anyway.

Thanks...

LED Marker Lights

They should be more reliable, but so much more that IMHO it is worth the effort or expense. You should be able to get just the LED bulbs and use the existing fixtures but that would not be as reliable as a sealed or submersible unit.

I have heard of people keeping the running lights on when parked overnight at a rest area, so that the big rigs would see them better.  That makes some sense to me and is much more practicable with LEDs,  but I have also started to see people with RV's (not Scamps) at campsites with their marker lights turned on all night  I can't for the life of me understand why other than they are just a fan of pretty colored lights or they can't pick their 40 footer out from all the other 40 footers when they come back from the bathroom in the middle of the night.  I remain confused about this observation.
